Can’t let this one go unnoticed

I noticed that Scott Hanselman had an entry about the “new Microsoft email research”. Looks like a chicken-egg problem. Which came first, Microsofts research or IBMs? Here is the IBM research page. This is the woman who co-authored a visualzation article at research.microsoft.com back in January 2003. It may be that this kind of visualzation is just so butt obvious that both teams came up with the idea close to the same time. Of course, this kind of threading has been around in newsreaders since the begining of time. Ah, nothing like re-inventing the wheel.
