MS: "Don’t click on URLs"

This is the most absoluridiculous KB article I’ve seen in a while. There are so many problems with this it’s not even funny. read on… I understand the reasoning behind the article. “There’s a problem with our browser that we can’t fix immediately, we should at least publish an article that shows our customers how to protect themselves.” But the implementation is hilarious.Yeah, you know that nice, easy mechanism you have for navigating around the web using our browser? Yeah that clicky thing. Yeah, we screwed up. Don’t use that for a while. Instead, here is some complicated (to you) code that you can type into the address bar….What’s the address bar? It’s that white bar thingy at the top of your brows….What’s the browser? Oh, you know that icon you click….the little “e” on your desoptop, yeah ‘the internet’. Ok when you go to a web site you need to enter in this code and then you can see where the URL…what’s a URL? The web site internet address…anyway you can see where that will take you. How can you tell if it’s a bad URL? Well it might have an @ in it. Yeah, just like your email address. No, you can continue to use email..well…kind of…just don’t accept any emails that start with “hi” or that are from people you don’t know….you know what? Just don’t use the internet at all for a while, we’ll let you know when it’s safe again. Wait until LonghornYou know, if it’s possible to Googlebomb Sco with litigious bastards and Bush with miserable failure, I wonder if we can Google bomb “Internet Explorer Bug” with “Install Mozilla”?
