“In this case, they have Netscape 4.7 and IE 5.5 installed on their machines. I have no idea if they can even upgrade ad lib or are stuck with what their techs give them. I just checked out 4.7 on my machine as I still have it (in add’n to 7.0) and that seems to be the cause of the problem. Basically, the alignment of text on all interfaces goes away and most of the functionality disappears (e.g., there are no text boxes so you can’t sort data, update consent). CSS? Proper XHTML and styling? I’ll never get to use any of that crap.

So, for those of you keeping track (and *I* am) I have to test my web based application against 7 total browsers now (NN 4.7, 7.0, 7.1,IE 5 (mac), IE 5.5, IE 6.0 and Mozilla)
