My luck with technology

So just to recap, in the past 3 weeks:

– My 17″ monitor at home has gone all blurry at random intervals
– I’ve washed my Treo 90, the screen came out OK but the “i” key doesn’t work and the power key only turns the unit on.
– My profile at work became corrupt and had to be deleted. Boy do you find out how much crap Microsoft and others stick in there when you have to start over. I no longer have “SQL Enterprise Manager” listed on my start menu. I had to create a new .mmc file to get it back.
– my CD-ROM at home has gone dead. It still spins up but it doesn’t recognize CD’s. That just happened last night while I was ripping CD’s. I haven’t tried cleaning it but I can’t really clean it if it won’t spin up. Maybe some compressed air.
– The RAM socket in my laptop went dead so now I’m back to 64MB of RAM on it from 192. I can’t even load a Windows 2000 profile. That might get some tiny Gentoo install on it.
– The clock in my car only comes on some of the time.
– My XBox seems to have problems with some DVD’s. It still loads games ok though.This may not be a problem.

Microsoft, IBM, I’m available for hardware testing whenever you need me. Lets see how good your engineers REALLY are!
