MS too focused on future tech

I am canceling all .NET Technical Publication subscriptions

DUH, that’s all they deal in. They release and move on to the next thing.

Here’s an idea, if your favorite blog/magazine isn’t posting content that you care about, STOP READING IT. I subscribed to the main feed at blogs.msdn.com for a while, nothing there really interested me so I unsubscribed. Same with Chris Sells blog. His posts didn’t interest me, so I stopped reading. Most recently that’s been the case with everyone favorite funnyman, Rory Blythe. I never thought he was that funny or inventive, he stopped making posts that were interesting to me so I stopped reading and commenting. I’m not going to hang around somewhere reading just because everyone else is or someone else says is great.

So do yourself a favor if you aren’t happy with the content of a blog/magazine. Do what Greg Robinson does and just unsubscribe.

BTW this discussion isn’t anything new, look at an old post of mine where I link to a lot of people touching on this issue.
