New Hatteras information.

The team is being led by Brian Harry, the guy who originally developed SourceSafe at OneTree before it was acquired by Microsoft.

oh, ugh. ‘Nuff said there Eric. Just letting that little tidbit go is enough to ensure your sales even after Hat-rack, or whatever, is released. If the same guy that is responsible for SourceSafe is writing their new version, I’ll stay away from it for a few versions.

Think about it possible enterprise customers, do you REALLY want to trust your enterprise source code to a version 1.0 product?

    Think about Subversion:
    * it stays a long time (several years) in dev before 1.0
    * it was build by CollabNet
    * it was harness to apache distrib so a lot of people use it long time before it’s release
what must we understand by v 1.0 if previous was 0.29, 0.28 … with good tracking tools
