15 Seconds : Generics In-Depth
J. Ambrose Little has a great article at 15 seconds about generics in Whidbey.
“The funny thing is that although generics are extremely useful, they also seem to have a certain mystique about them that cannot be readily explained. Perhaps the fact that VB never supported anything like them,”
I’d argue that VB Script and other loosely typed languages certainly do. Since everything is a variant it’s easy to create generic type functions. VB also allowed you to cast things as Variant. My tongue would be placed firmly in my cheek while making the argument however.
