Where have all the gurus gone?

Rants against Whidbey and Community Leaders

The real “gurus” haven’t forgotten about 1.1. Look at the recent articles by Scott Mitchell showing real code for use in .NET 1.1. Roy’s Visual Studio Add-In contest. Forget about all those people trapped in the echo chamber.. There are still plenty of gurus out there writing articles that you can use NOW, not 2 or 6 years from now.

    Thanks for the plug, but realize a large reason I have written so much about 1.x is b/c those consulting projects that I work on all use 1.x, and aren’t ready to move to 2.0 yet (obviously). Hence, I have had very little exposure to 2.0 thus far (too little, IMO, but hopefully will dive head-first into 2.0 by September, once a couple of projects I’m working on finish…)
