ahhhhh, nothing like software that knows better than you do. I believe in hiding certain details from users, like the fact that you can’t enter some events in a timeline before others. (e.g. You can’t enter an appendectomy if a patient has already had an appendectomy). But in general, user input shouldn’t be autoformatted. The activation of anything that changes the meaning or format of user input should always be an active process.
