I’ve got a weird little 6-degrees-of-separation type connection with Scott Mitchell even though I’ve never met him. He went to school at the University of Missouri – Rolla. My great Aunt, Gloria Wheeler in case anyone from Rolla or St. James is reading, lived in St. James/Rolla for all of my life. In fact, she’s buried there. She was a wonderful person and one of the most positive and happy people I’ve ever met. She also loved her NASCAR and St. Louis Cardinals.

I started with ASP before Scott did, back before it was called ASP and used some freaky deaky extension like idx or something, but I still used 4guysfromrolla.com as an information source. Heck, I still do. I was drawn to it because it of the excellent technical content, but also because it was being written in my favorite aunts town.
