Some of you might remember the Child’s Play campaign that Penny Arcade started last year. Over $250,000 in cash and toys were donated to the Seattle Children’s Hospital last year. This year they have taken the campaign nationwide. They have once again made it as easy as buying something from Amazon.com or mailing a check off.
This is a great charity and truly shows off how much power many individuals have if they all just do one simple thing. I’d encourage anyone reading this post who has a blog to write a post about it and promote it as well. I mean, c’mon it’s sick kids and you can be sure that none of the money is going towards anyone BUT the sick kids. I saw the truck full of merchandise pull up last year at Children’s with my own eyes. If you really want to show off the power of blogs, you can help this charity turn into a yearly event like toys for tots or the Marine Teddy bear drive.
I will donate a cash amount equal to the number of trackbacks that this post gets or $100 which ever comes first (hey, I just bought a money pit…errr…house. Give me a break)
