Microsoft gloats about playing catch-up to Apple

OpenGL desktop rendering on Linux…

Gee Kam, it’s nice to know you still haven’t shipped something that you “demonstrated on Windows at WinHEC two years ago.” and that OSX has had for quite some time now.

Here, go read up on your next Windows graphical rendering spec here. I’ll be over here quietly swapping between running windows using Expose and watching the entire screen flip around when my wife uses fast user switching to log on to her account on my iBook.

I hate it when this kind of undeserved arrogance leeks out of Redmond like butt juice after a week long Olestra and chilli bender. When will you realize that your real enemy isn’t Linux, it’s your bloated, self-important, user-hating management and culture?

I apologize for leaving this in a comment, you can feel free to delete this should you choose but I am completely unable to find contact information on your page. I’ve looked on both blogs and I think I’ve missed it if it’s here.

The main point of commenting though was to let you know that there are some errors in the text in this post and your last. In this post the Expose word is showing as ExposA(c) (c) being a copyright symbol. In the last entry there is a similarly corrupted phrase.

Should you want screenshots or something of the like feel free to let me know. This is in Firefox on Windows XP.

    Bane,

Thanks. It’s showing up that way in Firefox on my Win2K box too. Very strange. I’m not sure if it’s a bug in Firefox or if it’s the fact that sometimes I’m copying and pasting text into my posts on my iBook.

    Scott,

I’ve found that happens sometimes when I edit posts in word as well. It’s the substitution of the rich chars such as the start and end quotes. They just don’t translate well. I see they are fixed now though. :)
