WordPress and MSN spaces URLs

I’ve had a hell of a time posting links to MSN Spaces and I finally figure out why.

It turns out I had one of the default plugins for WordPress, Textile, activated. This fouled up the URLs to MSN Spaces due to the proliferation of bangs (!) in the MSN URLs. Looks like the bang is a reserved keyword in Textile and it tried to convert 1/2 of my URL to some kind of Textile markup.

Looks like the problem is fixed and I’m free to polute my friends spaces now with trackbacks!
