Actual must-see applications written using Adobe AIR
10 Adobe AIR -Must See- Applications: “”
I wasn’t real happy with this list. It mainly listed the same apps that Adobe has had listed on their AIR sites since they announced the technology. I came up with a few others that really impressed me.
Snitter – A Twitter client.
Twhirl – “twhirl is a desktop client for the Twitter microblogging service. Most of the features available on the Twitter website are accessible through twhirl, too. Plus, a lot of usability enhancements have been added.”
The big draw of both of these Twitter clients is that the developers both respond to feature requests and bug reports over Twitter.
Google Analytics – “The Analytics Reporting Suite brings Google Analytics to the desktop.
It’s an Adobe AIR desktop application that delivers the same advantageous as Google’s web version but with a richer experience and extended functionality.”
AIRMarks – “AIRMARKS is bookmark management software that operates in the Adobe AIR platform. The arrangement Tagging, Category of the distribution with tag, and Create your bookmark website’s thumbnail file that can be inspected in the sight.
Moreover, import and the output of the backup file of del.icio.us are create, it is possible to share by Web.”
RichFLV – An AIR based FLV movie editor.
AirPress -”AIRPress is a rich blog editor based on AIR technology. With AIRPress, you could easily upload media (images, videos, mp3…) without the need of another software or hosting.”
This is by no means a complete list of all the cool applications being built with Adobe AIR. At the risk of sounding like an Adobe fan boy, check out the Adobe AIR marketplace for more applications.
