DevBlogcon

So I have no idea if this will even get anywhere. I may be the only one that’s interested in this idea and if I set it up I may be the only person who presents anything and asks myself any questions about the presentation. But I figure I’ll lay out my ideas here and see if anyone bites.

First, if you have no idea what I’m talking about go read this post here about my ideas for DevBlogCon.

Here are some of my ideas in terms of content

  • Client application development
  • Web application development
  • Mobile application development
  • Syndication formats (RSS, ATOM, etc…)
  • Search technologies
  • Artificial Intellegence and machine learning
  • Complexity based programming
  • Database technology

Each track would have at least one post, I think that having three posts per track would be ideal. A new post would be published every half-hour, that would allow for a 30 minute Q&A period. Each track would have it’s own RSS feed that would include the posts and the comments for each post. There would be a master feed that would include everything. I think the authors could set up an IRC chat session if they wanted to, as long as the chat session was logged and posted along with the presentation post.

If a track had developers that used different platforms or languages, we could create a sub-track. Say have one master track “client application development” with three, or more, sub-tracks. One for Cocoa, one for Java, and one for Windows.
